Same Day Agra Tour By Train

Agra offers a lot of monuments and old forts that will help you create a lot of unforgettable memories. The Train tour to Agra will start by your train Journey from your base city. You will have to make self arrangements to reach the station. Agra Cantt Station (10:30), A car will be waiting for you at Agra Cantt to begin the tour.Tourists should make a note that pick up from NewDelhi railway station to guest hotel is optional and will cost extra. The tourists are provided with only tickets and hence they are supposed to manage to reach the railway station, we also arrange for pickups which may cost extra. The tourists should also know that extra charges apply for last minute booking and hence we advise prior booking.

  • There is one train that leaves from New Delhi called Shatabdi at 6.00 a.m. and return back from Agra to Delhi at 9:15 pm
  • The other train Gatiman leaves at 8.00 a.m. from Nizamuddin Station and return back from Agra to Delhi at 5:50 pm

First destination, Taj Mahal (11:00):

The tour starts with the visit to Taj Mahal which is the main attraction of the city to the whole world. Taj Mahal was commissioned in the year 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan. The symbol of love is the most celebrated monument. It is built in Ivory-white marble, the monument is the tomb of the emperor's wife Noor Jahan, whom the emperor loved and missed dearly. Taj Mahal is a world heritage site and It is build on the banks of river Yamuna is surrounded by gardens. A Certified guide will take you through the tour to make the visit more meaningful. It is necessary to note that monument fee is included. Taj Mahal provides a lot of spot where photographs should be clicked to preserve the memories of the visit.

Arrival at Agra Fort (14:30):

The next destination will be the Agra fort. The Agra fort is an enormous fort which was built by EmperorAkbar and is a robustly built fort by Mughal's. Agra fort played a great role in keeping the rein of the Mughal's in full swing. It is known to have been through various attacks and have always stood erect. Agra fort is another UNESCO world heritage site. Agra fort provides a panoramic view of the Taj Mahal if there are clear skies. The fort is approximately 3 KM from the Taj Mahal and is built in red Sandstones.

Arrival Tomb of I'timad-ud-Daulah' (16:30) :

We will now head to the next stop which is 'The Tomb of I'timad-ud-Daulah'. It was commissioned by Nur Jahan, wife of Jahangir Khan for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. He was a Persian Amir in exile and was given the title ' I'timad-ud-Dulah'. The tomb was built between 1622 and 1628 and is often regarded as 'baby taj', it is said to be a draft of the Taj Mahal and a lot of similarities can be seen in them. The tomb's main attractions are the transition of the Mughal architecture. The first phase of the tomb is built in red bricks and white stones make the core of it, the second phase of the same which is built in only white stone and Parchinkari can be seen on the outside walls of the monument.

Leave for Delhi (18:00):

The trip comes to an end with the drop at Agra Cantt station where one can board the train back to the base city. There are two trains available where one is Shatabti 6.00 a.m. which leaves from New Delhi and the other is Gatiman 8.00 a.m. which leaves from Nizamuddin. Guest please make note that dinner shall be provided in Shatabdi whereas in Gatiman there will be no dinner but you can opt for some local snacks.Pick up from New Delhi Railway station to guest hotel may cost extra and is optional. Tourists should make a note that extra charges may apply at last minute booking there were advised prior booking.
